Carolina Beach vacation rental tips:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Carolina Beach area. To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Carolina Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Choose your vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Beach Harbor Unit 32B by RedAwning has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the host before booking the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach attraction you long to visit, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. message the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
