  • Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
