Summary:
The name of this charming condo says it ALL! Catch the pretty sunrise over the Atlantic from your 3rd floor porch! Oceanfront Oasis has it all- a comfortable space to vacation that is located centrally to all things that make "Pleasure Island" marvelous. In seconds your toes will be in the sand or discover the island- fishing charters, historic Ft. Fisher, NC Aquarium delicious and eclectic eateries coffee stores etc. Downtown Wilmington is less than 45 mins away! Don't forget to check out the new murals!

The Space:
The pool is located just besidethe condo. The HOA opens the pool mid April and closes typically the second week in September, depending on weather
We also supply the following for each property:
A starter kit of one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, a trash bag, and dish soap. We also supply laundered bed linens, comforters, and 1 bathing towel and wash cloth per person. We do not supply any beach gear or beach towel. We have great rental companies on the island we would be more than happy to share the info with you. We also do not supply laundry detergent, body soap or shampoo/conditioner as we find everybody has their own preferences for these =) Please review our home rules prior to your stay

This unit is on the 3rd floor and there is NO elevator

The neighborhood is close to everything. Mix of visitors and year round residents.

-Walk, bicycle, public parking at beaches and in town

Other Things to Note:
There is a Beach re-nourishment done in Carolina and Kure beach every 3 years. This helps to keep our beaches safe from erosion. Please note that we have no control over this project and that it is normally concluded by May, but there is a possibility of delays.

Getting the best rental value:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Carolina Beach area. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Carolina Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
