Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserve your vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Selecting the best rental in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Pelican Watch 707 - Oceanfront, Elevator, Outdoor Pool, Indoor Pool has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach beach you long to visit, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Advice for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make certain no damages are linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. text the rental manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great time? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
