Welcome to Sand Star! If you are looking for luxury and location, don't miss Sand Star! Sand Star offers one of the best locations on the island! Walk to the ferry, West Beach or to the BHI Club. Located only seconds from the marina, Sea Star is a striking three bedroom luxury property. The broad front porch, both covered and open is the ideal place to appreciate sunsets, or just relax in one of the rocking chairs. There is also an outside dining area to savor an alfresco meal.

Step inside the entry, and a sizable open floor plan greets you. A huge sectional couch and chairs surround a 60" intelligent tv, and gas fireplace. Its a fabulous living area where guests will enjoy watching a movie or calming by the fire. To the left of the living area is an open kitchen with granite tops, and upgraded appliances, and full kitchen which will satisfy any chef. There is a 6 person kitchen table and bar top seating in the kitchen. A giant dining room is filled with light, and the ideal spot for a formal dinner. Also on this level is a huge guest room with a Queen bed, this guest room shares a full bath with the downstairs area. A enormous washer and dryer and laundry facility is off the kitchen with an ice maker in this room.

The second level offers 3 rooms. The Master suite offers a King size bed and 50" TV with ample space and sitting area. There is also a balcony off the Master through French doors. The Master bath features twin sink vanities and quartz counter tops with a humongous walk-in glass tiled shower with multiple shower heads.

The 3rd guest suite offers a King bed. Also on the 2nd floor is a full office.

Bald Head Island Club and Golf Access is available, please contact the BHI Club to make reservations and payment. Bikes and Umbrellas are not supplied, we recommend renting from Riverside Adventure or Coastal Urge. Beach Chairs are supplied. Beach towels are included, please launder and replace if used.

Get the best value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Bald Head Island. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

  • To start, have your group select trip dates and a max budget.

  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.

  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
