Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation home experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitor guides that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing the perfect rental in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Royal Sands I B2 -The Lookout-Beautiful Oceanfront Condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the host before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Know before you go:

  • Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. E-mail the property manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
