Located right downtown in a impressive historic row of mansions, you'll find this condo has old world appeal paired with modern amenities. The vintage wood floors, baseboards, bay window with window seat, and decorative non-working fireplace take you back in time to the 1800's, but the comfortable furnishings, clean ambiance, supplied kitchen, cozy bed, intelligent TV, and wifi meet today's traveler's needs. This condo is one of five in a huge historic home on Front Street.

Your condo is private with a private entrance, and is one of 5 is an amazing historic home. You can chill out on the huge wrap around front porch near your front door or sit outside your back door on the patio. You'll have access to a shared laundry room with coin operated machines inside. You'll also get one parking pass to park a normal size car or modest pickup behind the home (complimentary parking in downtown Wilmington!!)

This condo is located in arguably the nicest block of Old Wilmington's historic mansion district. The architecture around the neighborhood is striking, with mansions and sizable single family homes. Treat yourself to downtown's best.

If you walk out the front door onto Front Street, you'll see the glamorous Dudley Mansion from 1825, a gorgeous 10,000 sq ft estate that was home to North Carolina's first Governor. If you walk out the back door and down the cozy alley driveway to 2nd Street, you'll see block after block of charming Victorian homes. If you appreciate old homes and turn of the century architecture, be sure to make some time to take it in!

Just walk!!! You're very close to eateries, shopping, nightlife, entertainment, the waterfront and riverwalk, museums, and ghost tours!

The trolley is complimentary and drives by.
Free parking means you can come and go as you like.

Parking:
Free parking behind the home: You have one (1) complimentary parking spot! The alley entrance to the parking area is 9 feet wide. That means you cannot fit a enormous work van or a big work truck and trailers are not allowed.

Free Parking on the Street: Everyone in Wilmington knows that street parking is a drag unless you know a local with a Historic District Parking Pass. Now you do. If your truck is too big, or you need more than one space we can get you a parking pass. Contact us, pay a $50.00 deposit (returned when the pass is returned) and you'll get a parking pass that you can use on any non metered space downtown and park complimentary!!

Laundry:
There is an on site laundry facility. We try and keep soaps and fabric softener in there in case you need some. The coin operated machines and the laundry room are shared with the other guests but are seldom in use.

Checkout:
Checkout is 11am, but we can offer late checkout as availability accepts. 12pm checkout is $20, and 1pm checkout is $30. Please contact us first and if we can accommodate your late checkout, we will be happy to.

Booking the best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

• Summer time is high season in the Carolina Beach area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
• The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
• Some owners offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
• Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many concerns.
• Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
• Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
• Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
• Did you have a excellent vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
