How to find the best Carolina Beach vacation property experience:

When to visit Bald Head Island & When to reserve a Bald Head Island rental home:

  • Summertime is high season in the Carolina Beach area. To find the best value, change your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Some hosts offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area travel guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and pick your prefectrental home:

  • First, have your group commit to the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Spacious, Well-equipped, Oceanfront Home in Ideal Location on South Beach has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. If not, email or call the property owner before you book the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your invoice.

Know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
