Strategies to get the best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • To find the best vacation home within your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Carolina Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.

Selecting the perfect vacation rental in Carolina Beach:

  • Begin by selecting your vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Large 2 bedroom, sleeps 6, 30 seconds to the sand! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the host's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect your property!
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
