Strategies to get the best Carolina Beach rental home experience:

Get the best rental home value:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Summer time is high season in the Carolina Beach area. To get the best value, shift your family's Carolina Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Some hosts offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many property management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to pick the best rental home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. The Blue Crab \/ 103 NE 73rd Street - Coastal Vacation Resorts has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property manager before reserving the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More considerations:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of issues.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
