Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
• In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
• Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
• Property managers often offer customers an option to add trip insurance. • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
• On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.

If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it.
