Carolina Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:

When to reserve a Carolina Beach rental home & When to go:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • To find the best value, consider shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies supply Carolina Beach area travel guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and pick the bestvacation home:

  • Start by choosing vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. You may overlook the ocean at Ocean Perch, but don’t overlook the decor! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your vacation family.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach attraction you long to visit, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your life at home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a great time? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
