Tips to get the optimal vacation property experience:

Find your best deal:

  • Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have coupons for local accommodations and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select vacation dates and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 305 Who Let the Dogs In - Summer Sands Suites has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property manager before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is optimal for your trip.
  • If there's a certain Carolina Beach attraction you long to visit, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Upon check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
