Tricks and tips to get the perfect Carolina Beach rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Holden Beach. To get the best value, change your family's Carolina Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitors guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing the perfectvacation home:

  • First, have your group agree to trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. A Wave From It all - Beach House has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is right for your vacation.
  • If there's a particular Carolina Beach destination you simply love, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Have a great stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the property manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
