Summary:
Salty Dog is a new 3Bd/4Ba townhouse with pretty and comfortable coastal decorating throughout. Ideal fit for a family that loves to vacation in style! This home has two living room areas; one enormous area on the main floor and a smaller Tv room on the first floor. This property is an painless 3 min. walk to the beach and close to the Ocean Front Grille and Tiki Bar. Centrally located to all things Carolina Beach: cycling, kayaking, fishing charters, hiking at the CB State Park and our famed boardwalks and fishing piers with great eateries and shopping!

The Space:
There is a murphy bed (this is a single bed for the 7th guest) in the first floor tv room; however, linens and towels ARE NOT included for this bed. Please bring your own linen if you plan on using this bed. This home is just one block from the beach. There is an outdoor shower and a modest fenced in back yard. The master bath has a marvelous spa soaker tub.

Other Things to Note:
We also supply the following for each property:
A starter kit of one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, a trash bag, and dish soap. We also supply laundered bed linens, comforters, and 1 bathing towel and wash cloth per person. We do not supply any beach gear or beach towel. We have great rental companies on the island we would be more than happy to share the info with you. We also do not supply laundry detergent, body soap or shampoo/conditioner as we find everybody has their own preferences for these =) Please review our home rules prior to your stay

There is a Beach re-nourishment done in Carolina and Kure beach every 3 years. This helps to keep our beaches safe from erosion. Please note that we have no control over this project and that it is normally concluded by May, but there is a possibility of delays.

About the Area

Wilmington Beach, a neighborhood in Carolina Beach, is home to this vacation home. Ocean Front Park and Federal Point History Center are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum. Carolina Beach Boardwalk and Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School are also worth visiting.

• Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
• Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.

• Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
• Did your family have a great stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
