Strategies to get the perfect Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summertime is high season in the Carolina Beach area. To get the best value, change your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitors guides which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking a perfectrental:

  • Choose vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. SLW210: Nautical Nook: Adorable Cottage in Carolina Beach, Close to Boardwalk has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. If not, call the property owner before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your family.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the rental manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
