Strategies for getting the best Carolina Beach rental experience:

Sticking to your rental budget:

  • Summer months are high season in the Carolina Beach area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Choose vacation week and max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Beach Home sleeps up to 8, ocean and intercoastal views has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach attraction you are crazy about, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
