Booking the best Wilmington vacation property experience:

When to reserve a Carolina Beach rental & When to go:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • To find the best rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Carolina Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the best rental in Wilmington:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Quiet Boho Townhouse w\/ Pool; 15 Min to Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If not, reach out to the property management company before you book your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • During arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to inspire new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
